Security Measures for F1 Grand Prix in Mexico City

Mexico City is in full celebration of the Formula 1 Grand Prix, with authorities prioritizing security during the event. Over 2,500 police officers are deployed, drones are used for monitoring, and numerous arrests related to ticket scalping have been made.

Currently, Mexico City is celebrating the Formula 1 Grand Prix, and security at this event has been a priority for the authorities. Secretary Pablo Vázquez supervised today the preventive actions that are being carried out. Two individuals were arrested for ticket reselling and have been presented to the Civic Judge to apply the corresponding sanctions.

A robust operational deployment has been implemented by the Citizen Security Secretariat with more than 2,500 sector police. Additionally, intelligence and investigation agents are using drones to monitor the area. The Metropolitan and Tourist Police are present to address any eventuality, along with 600 traffic agents and more than 1,500 Banking and Industrial Police to safeguard attendees and their belongings.

So far, 14 valet parkers have been detained for allowing the parking of vehicles in prohibited areas and have been referred to the Public Prosecutor's Office. It has been emphasized that the operation will continue throughout the event with the aim of preventing incidents and ensuring a safe experience for Formula 1 fans.

In the framework of this operation, more arrests have been made, such as that of a 28-year-old man for motorcycle theft, which was recovered after a chase, and a woman along with a minor on suspicion of stealing a cell phone.
